MEET COLIN LESYINSKI.
I am passionate about helping people find purpose and meaning in their lives. I also recognize that life is often difficult and messy. I have always been drawn to sitting with people as they process their own story and the directions they hope to go. This is one of the main reasons I wanted to pursue counseling. I consider it a great privilege to be trusted to journey with people who seek to understand themselves more deeply and change narratives in their lives that at times feel unchangeable. As a therapist, I desire to help empower clients with tools that are necessary to find healing from underlying fear and shame that can be a burden in their daily lives. I believe that finding healing is a holistic process, and that people need to draw on many different levels of support in that process.
I completed my undergraduate schooling at Colorado State University, and pursued my Masters in Clinical Counseling (MA) at Denver Seminary. I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado.
I believe that it is important to take an individualized approach to therapy; everyone is unique! My approach may include a combination of counseling approaches like Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in working with middle and high school students, couples, and young adults. I mostly work with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, significant life decisions, or are seeking faith-based counseling. I am Prepare-Enrich certified and can offer helpful tools to couples who wish to do premarital counseling.
On a personal note, I love spending time with my wife and three kids, coaching my son's baseball teams, and traveling when we can. I love community, laughter, and good food (preferably the three of those things at the same time).
